Heidelberger Bratwurst

I was sitting around the house and working on some stuff when Nick came home for lunch. He looked a little bummed.

"I was going to get some stuff from the farmers' market," he said, "but they haven't shown up yet. There's just this guy with a sausage cart."

He had me at "sausage cart."

"Feuerwurst" is "fire sausage," possibly the best word in any language. It is amazing and red and spicy.

But this time I got a Heidelberger bratwurst, because I'm in Heidelberg.

It is broken in half and doubled up on a roll with mustard. They say the mustard is spicy, but it is not really spicy.

It is made of pork and nice and garlicky.
